Seed Handling

Once the seed is removed during the ginning process, it must be conveyed away without damage.  Directly beneath the Gin Stands, the seed typically falls into a screw conveyor where it is carried to one end of the gin plant.  There are several methods for handling the seed afterwards, depending on how it will be stored or transported away from the gin plant.
